Verton is pretty good and even more worth the money considering Stackpole is picking up the book. That always makes things cheaper.

It is a good source for the struggle of Breslau at the end of the war. The only problem is that he tries to stray into areas beyond his sphere of responsibilities. He discusses the Battle of Britain at some point.

I've been told Forbes' book, although I have not read it, is a pretty good work on Charlemagne. Nonetheless, I regard Tony Le Tissier as a very talented author and would personally buy this book if I picked up a Charlemagne publication:

Can't help much with the third one.
Best regards, Schmidt
