9.SS Update.

Guten Tag, II.SS !

Although it is a bit overdue, I will bring you all up to speed on what's been going on and where we've been. Originally, we thought of disbanding due to our complete discouragement at the DoD:S Realism Community. However, mainly due to the fact that Darkest Hour has quality units we decided to switch games, instead of disband.

We made the official switch to Darkest Hour last week. We have a server up, but it is kinda borked out at the moment, and if any of you could lend some advise, it'd sure be appreciated. Also with the switch came some re-organization and re-structuring of the unit.

We eventually plan to field a Zug of Heavy Panzer V's of SS-Panzer-Regiment 9, but at this time, we remain one of the two Kompanies of Panzergrenadiers in the SS-Aufklarungs-Abteilung. We have kicked and weeded out all inactive members have restructured into one over sized Zug. Once we recieve a few more recruits, we may open up some armor support.

Now the we are kameraden in the same Theatre of Operations, I look forward to our future together as brothers-in-arms, as we continue the struggle against the Allied Forces. I hope we can keep a great unit relationship, as we have in the past. Together we can stop the Americans, and turn a head to the East, to finish off the Bolshevik Pigs.

I would love to stop by and have a chat with you some time. We have never really had a proper opportunity to. As for your server problems Johann Bauer is our resident server guru so if we can root out the problem he might know how to fix it. I am extremely pleased you have switched over to darkest hour, it has long alluded me the reason for your staying in DOD for so long.

Well, I have wanted to switch to Darkest Hour for over a year, Heh.

It seems the only logical game for a Realism unit, DoD:S was terrible. We got heckled for being more interested in history, than being able to outskill players in the game.

Unfortunatley, many of my men wouldn't switch games until recently, but now that we have, we couldn't be happier.

It's great to fight alongside great Deutsche Soldaten, as we did not have the opportunity before.

We will definatley have to set aside some time to chat soon, Hoffmann.

I hope you guys don't mind me popping in and interrupting your conversation. I wanted to stop by as I did with the 9.SS guys and say hello.

Once Arma2 gets polished and the Invasion1944 mod team gets their models ported over then I'm going to start a LSSAH unit around that game. In addition, I found out that there is currently a team being put together for a WW2 mod for OFP : DR. Once it gets coser to Arma2 getting polished or OFP coming out, then I will unleash my website with vBulletin forums I pimped out.

I have to say I love how close the German reenactment group is around here. Hopefully we can all work together supporting each other for the games we seek to play.

Nope. I was in the 1.SS for a little while until I found out why it's such a small group and others went off to make another 1.SS for RO: DH.

I didn't even know there was a 5.SS clan.

Whether it's the LSSAH or the 9.SS 'Hohenstaufen' I hope to see our unit and yours form a bond of unshakeable camraderie in the face of our plutocratic-promoting enemy.
